Mark B. Logan is a purchasing and contracts professional currently employed by Cerritos College as the district's Director of Purchasing and Contract Administration. Mark's responsibilities for the district include the management of activities and operations for contracting, purchasing, public works, warehouse operations, and communications center operations.
Prior to joining Cerritos College, Mark worked at Chaffey College where he managed the purchasing services department consisting of purchasing, contracts, public works, warehouse and mail operations, and civic center facilities scheduling; the Clark County Housing Authority, where he was fully responsible for the development of the agency's contracts administration department; and Professional Community Management, administering a wide range of contracts for a private planned community with a population of more than 18,000 residents.
Mark is a graduate of CSU, Fullerton, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Business Administration degree in Finance, and CSU, Long Beach, where he earned his Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Employer-Employee Relations and Personnel Management from the Graduate Center for Public Policy and Administration.
Some of the professional certifications that Mark has earned over the years include NIGP Certified Procurement Professional (NIGP-CPP), Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), and Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.). These esteemed designations demonstrate that Mark has achieved a high standard of knowledge, competency, and skill in the public and private purchasing profession.
A few of the professional groups and associations that Mark is a current member of include CAPPO, NIGP, ISM, and NCMA.
Leadership contributions to the public procurement profession include serving on the UPPCC Board of Examiners as a public procurement subject matter expert (SME), Board Member for the NIGP California chapter, past co-chair for SCCCPA, and various public procurement presentations and workshops.
Mark currently resides in Orange County, California with his lovely wife and family.
